Inter-Library Loans

  • Inter-Library Loans

Inter-Library Loan is a service by which you have access to materials (including books and periodical articles) that are part of another library's collection.

Option one:  All current students and faculty at Horizon can use the University of Saskatchewan's Inter-Library Loan service, available here:

    https://zportal.usask.ca/zportal

Log in with your U of S ID, then fill out the form giving as much information as you have about the item you wish to acquire.
The University asks that you give them ten days' to two weeks' notice for ILL materials.

NOTICE: As of Fall 2010, a charge of $2.00/day will be applied to all overdue ILL material.

Option Two:  Horizon library also has an arrangement with the Saskatchewan Provincial Library for inter-library loans.

NOTE:  This is much slower than the U of S method.  Be sure to allow at least two to three weeks for the delivery of these items.

Come in to the library in person and fill out a request form.  You will need to provide at least the title of the work and its author.

If you cannot come in person, or you have any questions, please contact Sarah or Deborah at the library:

    (306) 374-6655 ext. 113 or email: library@horizon.edu.
